LCES Media Center: General Information
The Media Center is open during regular school hours. We can loan materials to students, parents and teachers.
Materials can be placed on reserve in the Media Center and/or pulled for classroom use. All materials MUST be checked out of the Media Center. This practice makes it easier to locate materials when they are needed by teachers and students, and helps keep accurate circulation records.
Materials and Use:
All materials can be located from any device accessing the internet by using the Destiny Search Engine. Materials that are severely damaged or lost must be replaced or paid for.
Students: Students may borrow all fiction and nonfiction books. Reference collections are limited to in-school use only. The circulation period is one week with an additional renewal week allowed. K&1 are allowed one book per student and 2&3 two books per student.
Faculty: Faculty is allowed to borrow all Media Center materials. We can pull classroom materials from completed Materials Request forms. The checkout guidelines for Faculty is: multimedia, five items for 14 days; and hard copies, 25 items for a period of 20 days.
